A kd or knocked down hollow metal drywall frame slip on frame is used for interior applications and comes in 3 pieces strike jamb hinge jamb and head. Embossed with a fire and smoke stamp between the first and second hinge cutout. Manufactured with the highest quality galvanneal steel which looks like raw steel but it actually is mill primed and ready to paint once cleaned. All standard commercial knock down frames are manufactured from galvannealed steel and are prepared and reinforced to receive specific architectural door hardware in accordance to ansi a115 standards.

Suited for 1 3 4 steel or wood doors. Heavy duty steel construction. Knock down frames are available in 16 gauge for 1 3 4 doors. Frame prepped for 3 in.
