Unfortunately the short answer is no. However the intense heat and moisture it uses to get the job done can also wreak havoc on the adhesive used on your laminate floors. Be sure to dry the floor immediately after steam cleaning with a clean dry microfiber cloth or mop. Use a damp cloth to blot up spills as soon as they happen.

You can use a window cleaner occasionally for spills but don t over use ammonia which can strip protective sealant. Steam mops create too much moisture for laminate floors which are often manufactured with a compressed fiber particleboard layers.

Steam cleaners are exceptional at getting dirt and grime off laminate floors. Do not use steam cleaners or wet mops which may cause irreparable damage to your floor. Avoid oil based cleaners as they can leave streaks that are impossible to get rid of. For steam cleaning tile floors or your laminate mix the water rubbing alcohol and vinegar in a mixing bowl and then add in the dishwashing soap.

Clean the floor routinely to remove dirt and dust by sweeping vacuuming or damp wiping. For this type of floor you can steam clean it occasionally.
